Using YourApp with your AI assistant
A page app companies can share with their users. Replace “YourApp” with your app’s name, or link users to your setup page, which says this for you.
What is this?
You can now use YourApp from AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT and Grok. Just ask in plain language: “What’s on my schedule this week?”, “Log a 5 km run”.
How do I connect?
Open YourApp’s setup page and follow the steps for your assistant. It takes about a minute. The first time, you’ll sign in with your usual YourApp account.
Is it safe?
- You sign in with your YourApp account. Depending on the app, you sign in on YourApp’s own login page, or on a YourApp-branded sign-in page. Your password goes to YourApp (or its sign-in provider) over a secure connection. It’s never shared with the assistant, and Gephyr, the service that connects them, never stores it. Forgot your password? Use Forgot your password? on that page, or reset it in YourApp, then sign in again.
- Your account only. The assistant can only see and do what your YourApp account can, and only what YourApp allows. Some apps keep their connector, or some actions, for customers on a paid plan; the setup page says so.
- Important actions ask first. Payments, cancellations and similar actions show you a preview and only happen after you say yes.
- You’re in control. Disconnect at any time in your assistant’s settings, and access stops straight away.
What can it do?
Your setup page lists every action, and which ones need your approval. If you ask for something it can’t do yet, the assistant can pass your request on to YourApp’s team. Don’t include personal details in these requests.
Something’s not working?
- “Your connection has expired”: reconnect YourApp in your assistant’s settings and sign in again.
- “It’s for customers on YourApp Pro”: your YourApp plan doesn’t include the connector (or that action). Once you’re on a plan that does, connect again.
- You can’t find YourApp in the assistant: make sure the connector is turned on for the chat you’re in.
- Anything else: contact YourApp support.
