Plans and billing
Building your app costs nothing: importing your API, choosing its actions, connecting your login and previewing it are free. You only pay once you publish: your apps go live on a plan, charged from the day you choose it.
You pay for the calls your apps make to your API, per workspace, per calendar month (UTC).
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly (20% off) | Calls per month | At the limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $9.99 | $95 | 10,000 | Apps pause until next month |
| Launch | $49 | $470 | 100,000 | Apps pause until next month |
| Growth | $99 | $950 | 1,000,000 | Apps pause until next month |
| Scale | $299 | $2,870 | 5,000,000 | Apps pause until next month |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom, plus your own domain |
Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax, VAT or GST is added at checkout where it applies, and you can pay in your local currency.
Free until you publish
Everything before going live is free, for as long as you need: importing your API, choosing and testing actions, connecting your login and previewing your setup page. When you publish your first app, Gephyr asks you to choose a plan. You pay on Stripe’s checkout page and your app goes live straight away, with everything the plan includes. There’s no free trial: every plan is charged when you choose it.
A workspace without a plan (one that hasn’t chosen one, or whose plan ended) can still build and test its apps, but they don’t answer in AI apps: agents get a plain message saying the app isn’t available right now (with your help link, if you’ve added one), and Gephyr doesn’t call your API. Sign-in, the setup page and the agent guide keep working, so people stay connected. Choose a plan in Plan & billing and the actions work again within a minute.
Starter is your connector, setup page and sign-in with 10,000 calls a month, plus help by email. Everything below starts at Launch.
Launch and up include the message board (beta): 5 new posts per app a month on Launch, 20 on Growth and 50 on Scale. Reading posts never counts as a call. They also let you keep your connector, or some of its actions, for your paying customers.
Launch and up show your call history (each call agents made: which action, which AI app, and how it went), and Growth and Scale add usage by agent and action (which AI apps your users bring, how each action is doing, where calls come from and your busiest times) and what your users asked for (the things they wanted that your app doesn’t do yet, in their words). On a plan without one of these, its place on the dashboard shows how many there were and which plan has it.
Growth and Scale can give an app more than one link, each with its own actions: up to 3 links per app on Growth and 10 on Scale, the app’s own address included. Calls through every link count toward the same allowance.
Launch and up can also test their actions with AI before publishing: 10 test runs a month on Launch, 25 on Growth and 50 on Scale, per workspace, plus as many sets of AI-written tests. Tests never count as calls.
Every workspace, with or without a plan, can also ask Gephyr AI for suggestions: 10 a month before you choose a plan, 15 on Starter, 20 on Launch, 60 on Growth, 150 on Scale and 500 on Enterprise. Rule-based suggestions (Gephyr suggests) are unlimited.
Scale adds priority support: email hello@gephyr.ai and your questions go to the front of the line.
What counts as a call
Only successful calls to your API are billed. These are never billed:
- failed calls (your API returned an error or timed out);
- calls blocked by Gephyr: invalid inputs, an action switched off, sign-in required, a user whose plan in your app doesn’t include it (who can use it), your protection limits, your plan’s limit reached, or a workspace without a plan;
- the preview step of a Confirm action;
- a retried confirmed action that returns its original result instead of running again;
- an assistant reading the connector’s guide (
get_help), sending a feature request, or searching and describing your actions (search_actions,describe_actionin apps with many actions). Running an action throughcall_read_actionorcall_actioncounts like any other call.
Each page of a list an agent asks for is one call (see what agents get back).
Every plan can have as many apps as you need, and calls from all the apps in your workspace count together. Yearly plans have the same monthly allowance as monthly ones: you pay for the year up front, and the calls reset on the 1st of each month.
When you reach your allowance
Every plan except Enterprise stops at its allowance: at 10,000 calls on Starter, 100,000 on Launch and so on, your apps pause until the 1st of next month (UTC). Agents get a plain message saying your app has used its calls for the month and when it works again (with your help link, if you’ve added one), and Gephyr doesn’t call your API. Upgrade any time and they work again within a minute. Guides and feature requests keep working. You never pay more than your plan’s price: the few calls that get through while the pause takes effect are free.
If you need more than Scale’s 5 million calls a month, email hello@gephyr.ai about Enterprise.
The console warns you on every page once your workspace has used 80% of its calls, and again when it reaches the limit. Plan & billing shows this month’s calls.
Buying, changing and cancelling
Open Plan & billing in the console (the workspace owner only):
- Choose or upgrade: pick a plan and monthly or yearly, here or when you publish. You check out on Stripe’s page, where you can use a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link; your apps get the plan as soon as Stripe confirms it. Back in the console, Gephyr shows what your plan switches on and where to set it up.
- Change plan: moving between plans or between monthly and yearly is prorated by Stripe. An upgrade is charged straight away for the rest of the current period; a downgrade is credited to your next invoices.
- Manage billing: Stripe’s billing portal, for your card, billing details and tax ID, invoices and receipts.
- Cancel: in Manage billing. Your plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for, then your workspace has no plan and its apps stop answering until you choose one again.
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it and emails you; your plan carries on while it does, for up to 14 days from the start of the first period that isn’t paid (a later renewal that also goes unpaid doesn’t start the 14 days again). If it can’t collect by then, the plan ends and your apps stop answering until the payment goes through or you choose a plan again.
Who you pay
Paid plans are sold through Link, Stripe’s merchant of record for software. Link takes the payment, works out and pays the sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipts and invoices. Your card statement shows LINK.COM* GEPHYR. You can also manage the subscription, card and billing address on link.com, and ask Link support about a payment. For anything about Gephyr itself, email hello@gephyr.ai.
Gephyr never sees or stores your card details; it keeps only Stripe’s ids for your customer record and subscription.
Your address
Every plan gets mcp.gephyr.ai/t/yourapp. Using your own domain (e.g. ai.yourapp.com) is part of Enterprise. Coming soon: your own domain on Scale too, with the standard address kept working beside it.
Usage
Each app’s Overview shows calls over the last day, week or month, including any it turned away at the plan’s limit, on every plan; by action, by AI app and by country on Growth and up. The sidebar shows your plan, the billable calls you’ve used this calendar month (UTC) across all your apps, and the Gephyr AI suggestions you’ve used this month.
If plans or prices change, you keep the terms you signed up with.
